Hospiscare receives £2,000 contribution to SOS emergency appeal from local housebuilder

Devon based charity Hospiscare is looking to raise £1 million in an emergency appeal. The charity is now nearing its goal with support from the local community and organisations such as Redrow South West.

Hospiscare supports 2,500 people with life-limiting illnesses each year and their reach covers Exeter, Mid and East Devon. This year will be their 40th anniversary, however, as a charity they need to raise around £8 million a year to continue to provide care.

Several weeks ago, saw the company and union in pay talks, with local strike action planned for Monday 18th October. As the union were preparing for the proposed strikes, they realised that some drivers may be out of pocket if they took part in the action, so they...
