The newly refurbished play area at St Marks Road Honiton has now been officially opened by Cllr Andrew Moulding, the Chairman of East Devon District Council. St Marks, together with the Glen Farm play area, has been revamped as part of a works programme being carried out by the council across the district to replace and enhance five play area sites within this financial year. East Devon District Council taking up residence at its new Honiton HQ

East Devon District Council is relocating to its new headquarters at Blackdown House on the outskirts of Honiton and will be open for business at 8.30am on Monday February 11, 2019. In a phased approach taking place over three weeks, staff are leaving the council’s old offices at Knowle, Sidmouth. The Sidmouth offices will cease operations and close down at 5pm on Friday February 8. New Rheumatology clinics begin in Okehampton and Honiton hospitals

Rheumatology patients at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust will now be able to have treatment closer to home as new clinics begin in Okehampton and Honiton hospitals this month.

Both hospitals will hold three appointment-only clinics each month allowing patients access to services closer to home and enabling the RD&E to reduce wait times.

Members of Honiton Tae Kwon Do came back from the Southern Championships in Paignton with a haul of medals.

After their stunning performance at the World Championships in July, students showed no sign of complacency when they attended the latest championships, bringing back four gold medals, six silvers and one bronze.

Massive boost for East Devon cancer patients

FORCE Cancer Charity has announced it is to begin funding the delivery of chemotherapy at Honiton Hospital from this autumn.

Honiton girl is world champion in Tae Kwon Do

A Tae Kwon Do student from Honiton was crowned world champion when students from Honiton and Axminster Tae Kwon Do represented England at the International World Championships in Birmingham.

Over 2500 competitors from all over the world attended the two day event, competing in sparring, patterns, team sparring, team patterns and destruction to be crowned World Champions.
