On Sunday 15th October, running enthusiasts from around the county will be taking part in the infamous Great West Run - an exciting 13.1 mile route taking runners through the heart of Exeter city centre.
This year, four local businesses, Attention Media, Burrington Estates, Wilkinson Grant & Co and Expedite, are rallying together to become the ultimate running dream team, collectively raising money for YMCA Exeter at the Great West Run.
With the hope of raising £1,200, the funds will support the vital work YMCA Exeter provides to the local community.
To celebrate the 35th anniversary of local charity Hospiscare, Dr Becky Baines, Hospiscare’s Medical Director is getting out of her comfort zone and is asking if at least 35 local people will join her.
Becky has bravely signed up for the Great West Run on 15th Oct 2017, a 13.1 mile run through the heart of Exeter. It’s a brave move because the only other race Becky has previously completed was back in 2015, when she took part in a 10K just to prove to herself she could do it.
Becky explains “TeamHospiscare35 was founded by myself and Hospiscare’s Dr Jenny Hayes to celebrate...
