Something rather lovely is happening in Heavitree, Exeter and it's intergenerational!

JoJo Spinks of Interwoven Productions, a local performance arts company, says: “The South Lawn Terrace project has been an absolute joy because of the participation of the people there. Family fun at farm open day

Live music, great food and...piglet racing - just a few of the elements making up a Devon farm’s open day next weekend.

Kenniford Farm, which is just a few miles from Exeter at Clyst St Mary, is opening its gates to the public as part of Open Farm Sunday, which takes place on June 5.

As well as stalls, local beer, a bouncy castle and entertainment for all ages, there will be a chance to look behind the scenes at the farm, from the tiny newborn piglets to the fully-grown sows rolling in the sandy fields.

Open Farm Sunday is a national event which is in its 10th year...

Heart FM in the South West has signed up as the official media partner for Children’s Hospice South West’s 25th Anniversary Rainbow Run to be held on June 11 at Exeter Racecourse.

Richard Spencer, Managing Editor at Heart’s broadcast centre in Exeter said: "We’re delighted to be involved in this year’s Rainbow Run in Children’s Hospice South West’s 25th anniversary year. It’s such a feel-good event for a brilliant cause, and we love being part of it. We can’t wait for June!”

This flagship fundraising event for the hospice, sees hundreds of participants running and walking...

The Exeter Book: Family Fun

Wednesday 6th April 2016, 12.30-15.30 (Pearson Education Centre) Come and see the amazing Exeter Book which has survived for over 1000 years!

Drop in to the Library & Archives to see this amazing collection of Anglo-Saxon poems.

While you’re there – meet the archivist and ask her what parchment is made of (it’s rather disgusting….).

Afterwards, come over to our Education Space and take part in our Anglo-Saxon themed activities.

Make a shield or a brooch to take home, and see if you can work out the riddles of the Exeter Book.

Then have a go at...

Easter pop-up Drama club

'Imagine That' Drama club will be running a 'pop-up' Drama club for 7-16 year olds in America Hall on Monday 4th April.

7-11 year olds will be from 1-2pm and 12-16 year olds from 2.15-3.15pm.

Come along to explore the fascinating and gruesome parts of history Travel back in time to a different period of history every week with themed crafts, costumes, and horrible history facts!

Each session takes place in the Pearson Education Centre between 10am and noon and children can be dropped off and left for the entire session.

STUPID STUARTS - 27th February: Try to survive the perilous times of the Stuart. Will you survive the Gunpowder Plot, the Plague and the Great Fire of London?? Create a collage to remember some of these scary events.
