Thursday 28th July, 10.00-12.00 or 13.30-15.30 (Pearson Education Centre) Become an archaeologist for a day! Find out what real archaeologists do and learn the techniques you need by taking part in our mini-digs. Then use your skills outside to take part in our set-up excavation. Finally, create your own dig to take home using artefacts and plaster. Booking information Suitable for ages 6-13, £6 per child. Children may be dropped off and left for the whole session. West Front Drawing Competition

Saturday 23rd July – Saturday 27th August during normal visitor hours What does the Cathedral look like to you? Put your sketching skills to the test and send us your picture of the West Front of the Cathedral. You can use pencils, pens, paints, charcoal or anything you like to create your drawing. Please submit your entry to the Front Desk at the Cathedral. Prizes will be available for categories in the following age ranges: 4 – 7, 7-11, 11-16, 16 – 18. All work will be exhibited once the competition comes to a close. Prizes for each category TBA. FREE.

Heraldry Treasure Hunt

Follow the clues that will lead you to each one, and find out who each shield belongs to.
