Supermarket Morrisons is to cut prices on meat, veg and fruit this week.
A spokesman said it would be reducing prices on nearly 160 products by an average 12 per cent on the items, in the latest round of its Price Crunch campaign. Over 900,000 people in the South West of England are at risk of food poisoning from pink burgers at Bank Holiday barbecues, according to research released today by the Food Standards Agency (FSA). The research reveals that despite 69% stating they are concerned about food poisoning, almost a third (29%) of people in the South West would eat a burger that isn’t fully cooked through. The Nourish Food Fair will fill Bovey's high street with some of the best producers from the South West on Sat 3 September. Stalls will be selling a huge variety of locally produced food including artisan cheeses, preserves, handmade chocolates, oils, pies and speciality mushrooms.
