A powerful and heart-warming film about a group of Syrian refugee women is being shown at the University of Exeter.

A free screening of Yasmin Fedda’s award-winning documentary ‘Queens of Syria’, is being hosted by the University of Exeter’s Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies and Department of Theology on Thursday 12 November, and is open for everyone to attend.

During the project the artist will live at Spacex, bringing to life her manifesto Some ideas for a new art institution. This will include re-thinking the way the building is used including bring-a-film night.

Exeter’s Summer Film School will be held at Poltimore House from 3 – 7 August.

It offers children aged between 10 and 13 a unique opportunity to create their own short film. Exeter time travel experiment to be broadcast

There will be a live broadcast of time travel being screened at Walkabout in Exeter on Friday.

A lady known as Anna from Exminster put an ad on Gumtree to find a companion after she believed she had invented a time machine.

Similar to the story in the film Safety Not Guaranteed, which came out in 2012, Anna has faced skeptics in the press.
