The remarkable story of an Exeter professional skateboarder’s journey across Britain to raise awareness of male mental health challenges will feature as part of a special city event.

People will be able to see the documentary Lands End , which follows Barney Page on his 25-day journey skateboarding the 941 miles from John O’Groats to Land’s End. It is a story of camaraderie, adversity, and his friendship with Ben Raemers, a professional skateboarder who died by suicide at the age of 28.

London animation studio Lumiere S tudios has created a map of the UK showcasing the most searched animated films of all-time in different places.

Their study used Google Search Data to locate which towns and cities searched for the most popular animated films the most - and the results were rather surprising!

As you can see, over the past 12 years Exeter has searched for Beauty And The Beast more than any other place in the UK. Clearly Exonains have a soft spot for romance and dancing cutlery.

Rare posters showing the glamorous stars of cinema’s Golden Age have returned to Britain, thanks to a donation by one of the world’s foremost movie memorabilia collectors.

The UK’s youngest feature film director has been inspired by his great-grandfather’s epic battle for survival during World War Two for his debut movie.

University of Exeter history student Elliott Hasler will have his film released on major viewing platforms aged just 20.

Inspired by Elliott’s great-grandfather’s own experiences, WWII – The Long Road Home depicts an escaped British POW’s epic battle for survival whilst on the run in war-torn Italy, as his wife and young son anxiously await news in England.
