Exeter-based fashion boutique Dukes are now stocking London-based lifestyle fitness, swimwear and loungewear brand Vevie.

Vevie was launched last year and was founded by Caroline Greenslade. Through her career Caroline has designed lingerie, swimwear and loungewear for both designer and high street brands in the UK, these include designing Heidi Klein’s launch range, working with Agent Provocateur, Pistol Panties and Hoola and as Head of Design for Debenhams.

Exeter photographers Evolve is holding a one-day charity photo day at Bickleigh Castle near Tiverton in Devon. Ten places are available on this one day photographic workshop aiming to help budding photographers improve their skills and further their portfolios. The dogs are back in town!

Two of the famous Radley Scottie dogs make a guest appearance at leading department store, Austins of Newton Abbot as part of their UK tour to promote the popular and highly collectable Radley accessories range.

Over 100 shoppers flocked to the store to meet the celebrity canines and receive treats of festive cupcakes and bubbles. Visitors also had the chance to receive a limited edition Radley Christmas gift when making purchases of £100 or more on the day in-store.

59 is the age pin-pointed by a survey as THE year to start growing old gracefully. The survey also reveals that women are eschewing cosmetic surgery and fillers, and believe that heavy make-up and mini-skirts should be given the heave-ho by the early 40’s. With Christmas party dressing on most women’s agenda in the coming week, choosing your party outfit and make-up could be a minefield if you are over 40.

The experience of shopping in Exeter is set to rocket to new heights with the launch of the new John Lewis store on the corner of Sidwell Street, which opens its doors to the public at 9am on Friday 12th October. The Exeter Daily was lucky enough to take a sneak peek around the sophisticated store with manager Kate Connock, whose staff are busily preparing for a smooth launch. Thursday will see the store's partners undertaking a dress rehearsal, but the signs are good as everyone is pulling together to make it happen.
