STUNNING manor house Bridwell Park will be opening its doors to the public this September, as part of a two-day family event to celebrate all that is great about the UK.
The Great British Day Out, which will feature music, entertainment, stalls and even survival workshops, will be taking place at the stately home in Uffculme over the weekend of September 17 and 18.
It is the first time in its 240-year history that the Georgian property, which is the family home of Lord Ivar Mountbatten, has opened its doors to the public for an event of this kind.

A Fundraising Event has been planned for Exeter Forest School Kindergarten, to raise funds for a new outdoor classroom, to enable young children to learn and experience the outdoors.
The event will bring together families across Exeter at Riverside Leisure Centre on Saturday 3rd September from 3pm until 7pm to enjoy a range of games and activities for all ages, including a giant inflatable assault course and forest school activities. Join Newton Abbot Racecourse to celebrate 150 years of racing at their 150th anniversary fixture on Wednesday 10 August.
To mark this special occasion there will be a free goodie bag for the first 200 adults and a free gift for the first 200 children through the gates on the day, as well as free face painting for children in the Family Enclosure.
