Heritage Open Day

Join us to explore the grand old mansion Poltimore House and it's lovely grounds.

House and grounds open for free for Heritage Open Weekend. Join us and try your hand at archery, enjoy the kids heritage quiz and watch tudor dancing in our very onw tudor courtyard.

Our Chapel Cafe will be open for light lunches and snacks throughout the afternoon.

Fun Dog Show

Our first ever fun family dog show takes place at Poltimore House on 14th August. Doors open a 10am with the first fun class starting at 11am. Lots of prizes to be won from hairiest hound to child handler class, something for everyone pooch and owners alike. Raffle and tombola, prizes for dogs and humans.

Nominal fee to enter a class, house and grounds will also be open throughout the day. Contact events@poltimore.org with any queries.

Poltimore House Summer Fair

Come and join us at the historic Poltimore House for our summer craft fair this coming Sunday.

There will be lots of local gift and craft stalls to browse, light lunches and afternoon teas served in our Chapel Cafe, the house and grounds will be open throughout the day and you are very welcome to wonder. Our friendly and knowledgeable stewards will be on hand to answer any questions you may have too.

All the money raised will be used to help towards the ultimate goal of restoring the fabric of this historically important local landmark. There is free parking for all and...

Killerton cider and apple festival

The Bear Trail set to get kids back in the great outdoors

Devon's latest outdoor adventure centre, The Bear Trail, is celebrating its official Opening Day on Saturday 23rd July. The Bear Trail is an innovative and challenging outdoor adventure trail set over a 10 acre site in Wescott, near Cullompton, which features over 16 separate obstacles where children (and adults!) can run, jump and climb their way across zig-zag bridges, high nets and bear-infested mud pits.
