Garden and Produce Show

The Chudfest Garden and Produce show will be held on September 20th, in Chudleigh Town Hall. There will be classes for Flowers, Vegetables, Fruit, Kitchen Produce and Floral Art. There are also classes for children aged 10 or under. There is an engraved trophy for the overall winner, and various cups for particular classes or groups of classes.

Entries will need to be delivered to the Town hall by 10.45am on the day; the hall will be closed between 11am and 2pm for judging to take place; and the show will be open to the public at 2pm. Entries will cost 50p per class (children free...

The Trembling Grass is a mixed-media exhibition that highlights conflicts between nature and humankind caused by climate change and the depletion of natural resources. Named after a line from a John Clare poem and displayed in the 150th anniversary year of this poet's death.

In this installation, Phil Root references history and memory, producing artworks through a process of intuitive layering and erasure of both physical and historical attributes.

Urban Bees: Working Together

Bees are under threat like never before. Six members of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen have come together to respond in their own way to the current plight of bees. Exeter’s Fine Art

Commemorating the outbreak of the First World War with works by Walter Bayes and Muirhead Bone, RAMM’s portrait collection will also be represented by two naval heroes of the Napoleonic era with Devon connections - Admiral Edward Pellew and Captain Charles Proby. Pellew rose to become commander of the Mediterranean fleet and a national celebrity after the Bombardment of Algiers whilst Proby also gave outstanding service in the seven years war and the American war of independence.

Stuart Crewes: Precari/Gordon
