Exeter's Picturehouse Cinema refurbishment now complete

The repainting and refurbishment of the outside of the Exeter Picturehouse, to coincide with the cinema’s 20th anniversary this October, is now complete.

The final touches were applied this week, including the addition of specially designed huge screen prints of some of the most iconic films of the last 20 years as chosen by staff and regulars, including Amelie, Buena Vista Social Club and The Motorcycle Diaries.

New Maynard awards celebrate talent

Local musicians raise over £900 for charity

A collaboration of local musicians have raised the tuneful sum of £906 for Rainbow Living, following a Celebration Concert for the Exeter charity.

The concert, organised by award winning flautist Leonie Stevenson-Jones with Anne Jones and supported by The Stella Mars Trio and a number of talented local performers, was held to mark Rainbow Living’s 10th Anniversary.

If you went anywhere near Stoke Woods on Saturday, you might have seen a lot of cyclists - it was the day of Exeter Wheelers Cycling Club's annual Hill Climb Festival. Princesshay Honey Flow Light Box unveiled

Princesshay has unveiled a new art installation in celebration of its work in urban bee conservation. The Princesshay Honey Flow Light Box has been created by Exeter-based artist Amy Shelton and features pressed samples of flowering plants and trees favoured by bees. Stagecoach launches new smartphone app

Stagecoach South West has launched a new app that will make bus journeys even easier for passengers.

The new Stagecoach Bus app is available free of charge for Apple and Android mobile phones, simply search ‘Stagecoach Bus’. It offers a range of additional customer benefits, including improved journey information.
