Construction is about to begin on a brand new Community Hub for Topsham, one of the area’s most important buildings of recent years - and the organisation behind it is seeking volunteers to help champion its work and plan how it will develop.
The new hub, being built on the site of the former ‘pre-fab’ Topsham library, aims to be the pride of the local community.
It will be the base for many of the services provided by the Estuary League of Friends, a long-standing and much-loved charity serving the town and communities stretching from Countess Wear to Exmouth.

Inspector Rich McLellan said: “We know this is not a great image. At the top of the picture we can see the lower half of a pedestrian walking a dog. However, this is a serious incident and we are asking the public to help us. This incident took place just before 1am. It is quite likely...
Throughout her career, Linzi who works for CPS in Exeter, has encountered various crimes and witnessed the effect that crimes can have on individuals.
Linzi wanted to raise money to help victims and witnesses of crime to find the strength to move beyond the crime with the support from Victim Support; raising awareness, that there are people who care, a confidential ear, an unbiased listener, practical help during court hearings, or subsequent to court hearings for example assisting with medical treatment or getting rehoused.
