CCF, a leading insulation and interior building products distributor, has celebrated one year of trading at its Exeter branch, located on Blackmore Road in Hill Barton Business Park. Since opening in 2017, the branch has expanded its original team of 20 by adding eight new roles in the last 12 months. Saturday saw hundreds of people pour into Exeter Cathedral for an event as dramatic as its surroundings. The city’s first ever Slow Fashion Show, hosted by Exeter-based ethical fashion and lifestyle brand, Sancho’s , and InExeter , was the flagship event of what has become an annual affair - Style In Exeter Week. Over 500 people flocked to the Cathedral from Exeter and beyond to learn about what Exeter has to offer when it comes to sustainable fashion.

An app which gives people real-time information about their local urgent NHS services has been shortlisted in two of the most prestigious national awards: the Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards and the Times Higher Education (THE) Awards. The app, NHSquicker, shows people in Devon and Cornwall up-to-date waiting times for the five closest emergency departments and minor injuries units, as well as how long it would take them to get there, based on the user’s location. Princesshay have a free family event on 22nd September in celebration of bees. The event includes artwork, family workshops and tours from 10am to 4pm to celebrate the centre’s rooftop garden, home to thousands of bees.

The event will unveil a brand-new, temporary art installation representing flowers loved by bees and created by aptly-named artist, Bee Watson. Visitors can also join in with a free family craft workshop and make paper flowers to add to the installation. Five years of Help to Buy has helped 650 homebuyers in Exeter

Figures just released for the first full five years of Help to Buy in Exeter have revealed that almost 650 homebuyers have used the government scheme to buy their new home.

The figures show that 649 people in the city have taken advantage of the scheme since it was launched in April 2013.

Six men will be embarking on a 670-mile cycle trip across Europe next month, with the help of Exeter City FC, in memory of a friend and to raise much-needed funds and awareness for three charities.

Exeter musician's return to conducting for charity concert in aid of Unicef

A well-known Exeter musician is set to take up his baton again after a fifteen-year break in conducting for a special charity concert in aid of Unicef, the United Nations Children's Fund.

Raymond Calcraft, a lifelong Unicef supporter, was Director of Exeter Philharmonic Choir for fifteen years from 1988 to 2003. He led the Choir in more than 80 concerts in Exeter Cathedral and took them to Spain in 1998 to sing in Madrid's famous Auditorio Nacional and the Cathedral of Salamanca.
