Redrow West Country bolstered its team with several new appointments last year to meet the demand across developments in the region in 2019.

In November, the property developer welcomed Sue Callard as quantity surveyor. With a background in surveying as a contractor, Sue became part of the Exeter-based West Country team with a keen interest in developing her expertise in the residential side of the industry.

Commenting on her appointment, Sue said: “I’m thrilled to have joined such a prestigious name in the housebuilding industry and I’m looking forward to bringing my contracting experience to the role as well as honing my skills in the residential sector.”

In the same month, Kevin Weeks and Gareth Kilby joined Redrow as site managers who will be overseeing the Bishops Court development and Warren Grove development respectively.

Kevin said: “I’ve been working in site management for over 30 years and it’s great to now be a part of the Redrow West Country team. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first month; I’m looking forward to getting the final phase of the Bishops Court development completed.”

In September, the homebuilder also had two graduates and an apprentice joining their West Country division.

As a Land graduate, Stuart Walter has been supporting the Land team on his bespoke graduate programme by working on the initial appraisals for the land that Redrow plans to buy.

Beckie Harris joined the West Country team on the 24-month Redrow Rotational Graduate Programme during which she will complete placements across the Land, Technical, Construction, Sales, Commercial and Customer Service teams.

Working towards Level 3 NVQ and BTEC qualifications with the support of Redrow and alongside experienced engineers and designers, Ashleigh Freeman became a part of the team as technical apprentice in the Design and Technical department.

Commenting on the new appointments, managing director at Redrow West Country Nigel Palmer said: “2018 was a fantastic year for the division and we’re delighted to have welcomed Sue, Kevin, Gareth, Stuart, Beckie and Ashleigh in their varying roles.

“We’re in a strong position for 2019 and we’re looking forward to what it has in store for Redrow West Country.”
