Lidl to hold public consultation day for new store in Exeter

Lidl GB has announced that it will be holding a public consultation day to outline plans for its new store on Pinhoe Road/Venny Bridge, Exeter.

The public are invited to attend the event, which will take place on Wednesday 5th February from 4.30pm – 6.30pm at Pinhoe Jubilee Club, 4 Main Road, Exeter, EX4 8HS. Devon-wide review of waste management carbon emissions commissioned

Devon County Council (DCC) has commissioned a full analysis of the carbon impacts of its waste management services from international environmental consultancy Eunomia Research & Consulting Ltd.

Last year Devon County Council endorsed the Devon Climate Declaration by declaring a climate emergency. The new project, which commenced in December 2019, forms part of the authority’s subsequent commitment to become a net-zero authority by 2030.

Housebuilder brings £37 million investment to Exeter region in 2019

Five star housebuilder Barratt Developments has built 591 new homes in the Exeter region in the last 12 months, and brought more than £37 million to local communities.

Exeter-based financial experts Old Mill have appointed Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow member of the Personal Finance Society, Neil Rushton, to the Wealth Management team.

RGB Building Supplies is thanking the local community for supporting its Big RGB Christmas Appeal in aid of Devon Air Ambulance. The appeal invited people to donate good quality, pre-loved items to a drop point in RGB’s Exeter branch.

Bulk bags full of clothing, shoes, books, DVDs and Blu Rays, toys, accessories, jewellery and bric-a-brac were given and passed on to the charity. The items will now be sold in Devon Air Ambulance shops helping it continue to save hundreds of lives across Devon.

Man charged following sexual assault on train

A 39-year-old man has been charged in connection to a report of a sexual assault on board a train between Digby and Sowton and Exmouth railway station, Devon.

The incident happened between 5.45pm and 6.10pm on Friday 27 December 2019.

Sebastian Sienko, of Imperial Road, Exmouth, has been charged with sexual assault by touching and is due to appear in Exeter Magistrates’ Court on 4 February.
