Churches in Exeter are hosting organising a LIVE online event on Sunday 29th March, 8pm-8.30pm encouraging Christians from across the city to pray for our nation at this critical time.

Called ‘Exeter Prays’, the half an hour broadcast will involve a number of church leaders in Exeter broadcasting live from their homes sharing inspiring and thought provoking messages and reflections and encouraging individuals to step into a new level of prayer.

The online event has never been done before, but it’s hoped that thousands of Christians from across the city will tune in for what will be a unique experience.

People are invited to log in and take part in this virtual city-wide prayer event, joining together to pray for the city, our land the nations in light of news developments which have impacted everyone in some way.

Alongside the video broadcast, there will also be an interactive chatroom where people watching can engage with others, sharing their prayers and thoughts.

The event is being organised by a group of churches in the city, which is made up of different styles and denominations, and Exeter church leaders of all traditions are being encouraged to invite their congregations to tune in for this powerful event.

Mark Pugh, is Leader of Rediscover Church which is involved in the event and said, “We are so grateful to all those who are working on the frontline at this time of international crisis and churches are among those who are providing care and support to some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, but as well as responding in practical ways, the churches are joining together in prayer to ask for God's help and intervention. William Temple once said 'when I pray coincidences happen and when I don't, they don't’.”

The event will be broadcast live at http://live.rediscoverchurch.com on Sunday 29th March, 8pm-8.30pm.
