After whittling down possible goals for the accolade, the shortlist is now open for votes to select Exeter City Football Club’s Goal of the Year 2012!
The goal that gets most votes will be put forward at the Football League Awards, and it’ll take on the best of the rest with the hope of winning the Mitre Goal of the Year 2012.
With five corkers to choose from, there’s little doubt that whichever goal gets the nod to represent the Grecian, it’ll put up a fair fight!

Following opposition from the Liberal Democrats and criticism from across the political spectrum, teachers and regulators, Education Secretary Michael Gove has abandoned his plan to scrap GCSEs and replace them with a new, tougher English Baccalaureate.
The news comes days after the cross-party Commons Education Committee said the Government had "not proved its case" that GCSEs should be abolished in key academic subjects.

Persimmon Homes will be the first housebuilder in Devon and Cornwall to offer prospective home buyers access to the Government’s FirstBuy 2 scheme after signing up with the Homes & Communities Agency.
Nationally, 281 of the group’s Persimmon and Charles Church developments will offer the scheme, with a possibility of further sites being added at a later date. Rural campaigners and astronomers are calling on our nation’s ‘citizen scientists’ to take part in Star Count 2013 – a cosmic census which will help map light pollution across the country. Stargazers will be asked to count the number of stars they can see (with the naked eye) within the constellation of Orion.
