Exeter Pride is back... and it's set to be bigger than ever

The fifth Exeter Pride, a celebration of Exeter 's LGBT communities, will take place on and around Saturday, 23rd March.

Last year more than 1,500 took part in the Pride Parade down Exeter High Street and more than 2,000 people attended events held at Exeter Phoenix.

This year it is back and will be bigger, better and more colourful.

The 'F' stands for Forgiveness - The Forgiveness Project is an exhibition of posters describing the stories of people who have been directly affected by violent crimes, rape, kidnapping, murder and the killing of a child.

Exeter resident prepares to take on Bath Half Marathon

An Exeter resident has decided to dust off his trainers and take on the challenge of running the Bath Half Marathon for the first time, to help young people across the South West fight cancer.

Joe McDonnell, 20, a final year student at the University of Exeter, is preparing to take on the fast and flat 13.1 mile course on Sunday 3rd March in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. Joe, who lives on Old Park Road, decided to run the half marathon for Teenage Cancer Trust after his twin sister Sinead was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in May last year.

Repossessions in Exeter up by 20% says Exeter CAB

Local charity, Exeter Citizens Advice Bureau, is reporting that there has been a 20% increase in the number of repossession cases listed at Exeter County Court.

Where a CAB adviser has assisted clients facing repossession, the clients have avoided repossession in 85% of cases.

Exeter City Council has provided financial support for this essential service.
