Exeter Cathedral has produced a resident’s card for the first time, offering people living in the city free entry to their Cathedral.
The card covers people living in postcodes EX1 to EX4. Forms will be sent in the post to eligible homes.
The Cathedral has to charge visitors to attempt to cover some of its £4,000 a day running costs, said the Cathedral’s managing director, Alison Davenport, but it is doing all its can to ensure that people in the city and around it can visit for free, as often as they like.
