Newton Abbot based Centek has been placed seventh in the 2014 Sunday Times BDO ‘Profit Track 100’, the influential survey which identifies UK private companies with the fastest growing profits.

New bus route replaces services from Crediton

Stagecoach South West has today announced plans to introduce a new route replacing the 50, 51, 315 and 377 services.

The new route, the 5, will be introduced on Easter Monday and will see the frequency of buses between Exeter and Crediton increase to once every 15mins.

Beyond Crediton there will be an hourly service to Copplestone. Exeter Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) will be taking over a ground floor office complex in the Civic Centre – giving it a more prominent location in the city centre.

The bureau, which provides free advice to the people of Exeter, has signed a lease on the building with Exeter City Council.

Specsavers in Exeter is encouraging young designers to get creative with an Easter-themed colouring competition.

Specsavers Exeter, located at 247 High Street, has called on primary school children to get crafty and create a bespoke Easter egg, with the winner receiving an art kit and a free Easter Egg.

Appeal after Eldery Woman Injured in Exeter Mugging

Police have launched a public appeal after an 86-year-old woman was injured in a mugging near St Thomas Pleasure Ground in Exeter on Sunday morning.

The woman suffered arm and shoulder injuries and was treated at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. She was also very shaken by the incident.

The incident took place sometime between 8:00am and 9:00am on Sunday (13 April) when a man stole the elderly vicitm’s handbag on a footpath running between the St Thomas pleasure ground and Buller road.
