Exeter School hosted a joint local Geographical Association/South West Region Royal Geographical Society evening lecture attended by RGS members and over 100 pupils and parents from Exeter School, King’s Taunton, Taunton School and King Alfred’s School in Burnham on Sea.
Attended by 119 people, the lecture was given by Dr Stewart Barr, senior lecturer in the geography department at Exeter University, on 7 October.

An Exeter School sixth former has helped raise valuable funds for local charity, the Devon Air Ambulance Trust, by organising a World Cup-themed charity day and raising over £3,000.
Upper Sixth Former Emily Ackland first got hooked on fund raising when she cycled from London to Paris last summer raising over £11,000 for PAPYRUS.
She said it was then that she experienced the satisfying feeling of fundraising for charity.
"It is very fulfilling to know that you are helping others whilst also pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone," said Emily.

Congratulations to Exeter School Kate Marks for her selection on the RFU National Youth Council (NYC).
Through her role as a Young Ambassador for the 2015 Rugby World Cup and Captain of the Cornwall County Squad, the Upper Sixth Former has been selected as one of 12 young people from across the country to serve on NYC.
The NYC is a group of 16 - 24 year olds from across the country, involved in all aspects of the game, working directly with the wider Rugby Football Union and England Rugby to help the growth and development of youth rugby across the country.

Exeter School has announced to parents plans for a new pool and changing facilities thanks to an anonymous donation.
A donor, who wishes to remain unnamed, has generously donated the funds to build a new 25-metre, covered, competition-standard, swimming pool.
