Jack Nowell says there has been little time for him and his Exeter Chiefs team-mates to dwell on the disappointment of last weekend’s European Champions Cup loss at the hands of Bordeaux Begles.

The Chiefs saw their European aspirations suffer more disappointment as they slipped to a third successive defeat in Pool 5, going down 13-7 at Sandy Park to the visiting Frenchmen.

City kit up future stars at Exeter College

Exeter City Football Club have kitted up future stars at Exeter College to celebrate both 15 years of partnership and Futsal becoming part of the college Sports Academy offer.

The long-established partnership with the college has gone from strength to strength in recent years and now sees 45 students on the men’s academy, 23 on the women’s academy, and 50 students combined taking part in the level two and three futsal Academy.

Driver hurt after car transporter overturns in Mid Devon

Police are appealing to the public following a serious collision which left one man with serious injuries.

At approximately 5.47pm on Monday 12 December, a single vehicle collision occurred on the A361 at Crazy Loman Bridge, Tiverton.

A white Scania car transporter, travelling in the direction of Bolham, left the road causing it to roll into the nearside. The vehicle was transporting approximately ten cars.

Manhunt after knife-point robbery at Exeter petrol station

At around 12.50am on Monday 12 December 2016, a man armed with a large knife, entered the Esso petrol station on Cowley Bridge Road in Exeter.

A man, thought to be in his late 30s, picked up a till which was located in the Subway concession of the store. He was unable to open the till and threatened a member of staff to hand over approximately £400 in notes.

The man left the shop and ran into an alleyway which leads through to Lower Argyll Mews. The police helicopter was called to assist in the search for this offender.

Man dies following collision on A379

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a car and a pedestrian that left one man fatally injured.

Stephen McKay, from Newton Abbot, was fatally injured in the collision which happened on Thursday 1 December 2016.

Police were called at around 3pm following reports of a collision between a man in his 50’s and a Citroen Picasso on the A379 at Holcombe, Dawlish.

Commuter-led project to cut congestion set to move into second gear

The first stage of a commuter-driven initiative designed to help reduce traffic congestion has revealed some fascinating results, organisers have said.

Experts from the University of Exeter launched the project earlier this year to determine what factors influence the time and routes chosen by people travelling to and from the city.

Christmas and New Year bus services

Stagecoach South West has confirmed details of its Christmas bus services, with services operating throughout the holiday period excluding Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Buses across the network will finish early on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve with the majority of services ending around 8.30pm on both days. Fans travelling to Sandy Park for the Christmas Eve Chiefs match are advised that the last C bus will leave Sandy Park at 8.30pm.
