Exeter University's Chapel Choir give an evening concert to include works from their varied repertoire. Major works include Stanford "For lo, I raise up" and Parry "I was glad"

The choir's Organist and Director of Music is Michael Graham. Michael also directs Budleigh Salterton Male Voice Choir and Exeter College Choral Society and is the founder and Artistic Director of Exodus. He is a full time member of Exeter Cathedral Choir.

Choral Music Through the Ages (Exeter Cathedral Choir)

A programme of music from medieval to modern showcasing Exeter Cathedral choir’s wide liturgical repertoire, including works from (or inspired by) our own 965 year-old Library and Archive.

The concert will include a performance of 'Flyht' by Nicholas O'Neill. This piece was composed for the 700th anniversary of Exeter College (Oxford) and sets to music selections from our own Exeter Book and other words by Samuel Wesley.

The Sixteen and Harry Christophers take a trip back to 16th-century Spain and more specifically to one of the biggest, richest and most cosmopolitan cities on earth - Seville. It was during this Spanish ‘golden age’ when arts and culture flourished, that Francisco Guerrero and Alonso Lobo made their mark. Between them these two composers capture an astonishing variety of moods within their music, from ecstasy and joy to despair, longing and devotional stillness.

Godspell, Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz’ legendary rock musical is back.

Following the enormous success of 2014’s gala performance at London’s Shaftesbury Avenue’s Lyric Theatre, in support of the charity Make-A-Wish-Foundation®UK, Godspell In Concert is set to tour the UK in 2015, opening at the Hackney Empire on 4 April.

Our concert on Thursday March 12th at 7.30 p.m. in Exeter Cathedral features one of Poulenc’s most celebrated works, “Gloria” followed by a journey into a world of dreams with Elgar’s “The Music Makers”.

The Cathedral's three resident organists perform with our choir of children and adults in celebration of the organ's 350th anniversary year.

Following an extensive restoration (completed at the end of 2014) the organ will be back in action, taking a solo role, together with providing the accompaniment for the Cathedral Choir.

This popular concert takes place in the candlelit nave of the Cathedral.

St Thomas Gospel Choir have won a national award for "Contribution to the UK Gospel Music Industry" in the choir catagory of the PraiseTek Gospel Music Awards 2014. Each year, these awards acknowledge the work of various singers, musicians, choirs, rappers, bands and media personnel working in the UK gospel music scene.

Choir director, Kathy Rufolo and her fiance, Dale Hurrell, who sings bass in the group, went to London to receive the award on behalf of the choir with nearly 50 members.
