Mozart: Exeter Cathedral Choir and Orchestra

The music of Mozart will echo around the Cathedral later this year in the latest concert performance by our renowned choir, which takes place on Saturday 18th June at 19.30.

The Choristers, Lay Vicars and Choral Scholars will be joined by a chamber orchestra of professional instrumentalists and a quartet of soloists, all under the baton of Cathedral Director of Music, Timothy Noon.

CLIC for Christmas: Calling Devon schools

Following the huge success of last years event, La La Choirs, together with CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, are again putting on a concert in Exeter Cathedral on the evening of Friday 9th December 2016. The La La Choir will be performing two sets at the start and end of the concert with young people who have previously been supported by CLIC Sargent performing as guests. To date she has extracted hundreds of entries relating to music and musicians between 1600 and 1814. Join Angela at this informal talk as she entertains and informs you with tales of musical life at Exeter Cathedral in the 18th-21st centuries.

Wanted: the voice of an angel

Following previous successful Chorister Open Days, Exeter Cathedral Choir is hosting a similar opportunity for children on Saturday 28th November 2015.

This is open to boys and girls between the ages of seven and nine who enjoy singing. It is a great chance for young people to be encouraged and coached by professional musicians in an inspirational setting.

The children will have a great time with the current choristers, rehearsing and then singing with them in the Cathedral. In addition they will have a special opportunity to take part in the annual Christingle Service....
