Interpretation panels developed for East Devon parks

History of much loved East Devon parks and gardens will be captured for posterity thanks to Heritage Lottery Fund award of £9,500

Interpretation panels for each of East Devon District Council’s eight parks and gardens are currently being developed by the council using information provided by local museums and local community members/groups. East Devon’s in-house design team are currently producing these ready for installation this spring.

Exeter Northcott Theatre is looking for local children to join the cast of its recently announced family pantomime Dick Whittington.

The theatre is searching for talented young male and female actors, aged between 10 and 15 on 1st September 2017, to take acting, singing and dancing roles in the show.

Everyone will have the chance to act, sing and dance – auditionees don’t need to be trained, but need to be prepared to give it their all.

A junior artist from Exeter is to have her picture seen by thousands of shoppers after winning a competition to help design a hessian bag for customers at the city’s Tesco Extra store. Lily-Rose Leach, nine, from Redhills Community Primary School entered a competition organised by the Exeter Vale Shopping Centre store, asking primary school children to draw a picture of what they loved most about the area. Some bright and techy year 6 Exeter pupils looked very sharp as they joined the national debate about internet safety on breakfast TV.

The youngsters from Tedburn st Mary primary school taught the grown-ups a thing or two about staying safe online when they appeared on Good Morning Britain to highlight a report on our children’s digital life.
