Devon hospices supported by Buckfast Abbey’s Millennium Fund

Buckfast Abbey is giving thanks for the thousandth anniversary of its foundation through the setting up of the Millennium Fund to support Devon hospice charities. All proceeds from the Millennium events will go towards the fund, which will then be split between Rowcroft Hospice, Hospiscare, North Devon Hospice, Children’s Hospice South West and St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth.

FORCE launches new partnership with Princesshay

FORCE Cancer Charity is all set to launch a new partnership with one of Exeter’s most iconic shopping and dining destinations.

FORCE has been chosen as Princesshay’s Charity of the Year for 2018.

The new link will be launched on Thursday February 1 when FORCE will be in Princesshay to promote the work that it does to support anyone locally affected by cancer.

EXETER boys and girls are being invited to get muddy for a good cause - at a brand new event from Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life. The city has been chosen to host Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids for the first time at Westpoint Arena, Exeter on Saturday 21 July. Pretty Muddy Kids is a new exciting obstacle course designed just for children - with added mud, thrills and spills. Put your best foot forward! Don’t delay and sign up for the Men’s Walk 2018 – that’s the message from Hospiscare. The 2017 event was a sell-out success, so would-be walkers are being urged to sign up as soon as possible so as not to miss out on a place on next year’s walk.

The walk, which will take place on Saturday, 17 March in Exeter, will follow a new 7-mile route starting and ending at the Double Locks canal-side pub. To keep spirits high there will be live entertainment and refreshments along the way.
