ITV News and Media Trust have launched ‘Breaking Into News’, a unique initiative that has been successfully running for six years and fronted by ITV’s award-winning news broadcaster Charlene White and Alex Beresford for ITV West Country with the aim to unearth the next generation of diverse broadcast journalist talent from across the UK.

TV and fashion celebrity Jessica Wright is helping to celebrate the style of bus passengers across South West. The former TOWIE star has teamed up with Stagecoach to launch a nationwide search for a ‘style squad’ – a group of individual customers who will be chosen based on their style, creativity and personality*.

The campaign aims to highlight and applaud the diverse range of fashion tastes that exist among the country’s bus passengers, with entrants asked to share their sense of style via social media.

Spencer Matthews proves a hit with Exeter locals

Chelsea's famous bad boy Spencer Matthews proved a hit with locals when he made a public appearance at Timepiece in Exeter.

Spencer, famous for starring in shows such as Made in Chelsea and The Bachelor, made his apperance as part of Timepiece's regular ' Clique Mondays'.

Crowds, of mainly female, locals and students gathered to see one of SW3's most famous stars.

59 is the age pin-pointed by a survey as THE year to start growing old gracefully. The survey also reveals that women are eschewing cosmetic surgery and fillers, and believe that heavy make-up and mini-skirts should be given the heave-ho by the early 40’s. With Christmas party dressing on most women’s agenda in the coming week, choosing your party outfit and make-up could be a minefield if you are over 40.

77 per cent of those polled in the South West say women should grow old gracefully and not do everything they can to look younger.
