Join us for outdoor adventure and campcraft at our Urban Forest School, right here in the city. Our Forest School runs on Tuesday 11th and Thursday 13th August.

If you make all 4 sessions you will be awarded our Camp Craft Expert badge! Meet at the Cathedral entrance (next to the welcome desk) 10 minutes before the start time.

Tuesday 11th August, 10.00-12.00: Tools

Learn how to use a bow saw and a hand drill safely. Make ‘wood cookies’ to decorate, hang or spin. Our session finishes with a campfire gathering of hot chocolate, snacks and a campfire song.

Come along to the Cathedral Green and meet our owl expert Steve Hooper.

See his beautiful owls in the flesh/feather, as he tells you how to care for these magnificent creatures. Become an owl yourself by choosing a design from our face painting artist. Or you can get creative and make your own owls out of felt or paint a pet.

We also have our badge making machine which you can use to create an owl badge.

Chart-topping boys' choir head to Exeter

London-based boys' choir LIBERA are used to touring the world, have performed for Popes and Presidents and are popular with fans across the USA and Far East. Next week they’ll be swapping the concert hall for the church when they perform in Exeter Cathedral.

A former student of Dame Gillian Weir and Allan Wicks (Organ), and Ronald Smith (Piano), Peter King was appointed Director of Music at Bath Abbey in 1986. Under his direction the Abbey Choir has visited Germany, Holland and France, and has released eight CDs and broadcast on BBC TV and Radio 3. In 1997 Peter started a Girls' Choir at Bath Abbey; it quickly established itself as one of the finest of such choirs.
