Flybe appoints new operations chief

Flybe today announces the appointment of Luke Farajallah as Chief Operations Officer. Luke joins Flybe on 1 April, 2015 from Bond Offshore Helicopters where he has been the Managing Director since 2012.

Luke has over 25 years of aviation experience having spent 17 years with British Airways in various operational roles. After BA, Luke held senior operations roles with a number of airlines in UK and Mainland Europe including Wizz Air and easyJet.

Taylor St Baristas secures £1.8m Mini-Bond on Crowdcube

The London-based, speciality coffee house chain, Taylor St Baristas is the latest company to raise money from the crowd using a Crowdcube Mini-Bond. The Coffee Bond beat its £1.5m target, topping out at £1,864,000 and attracting 504 investors from Taylor St’s own customers as well as Crowdcube’s registered members.

Bondholders will receive 8% fixed rate interest per annum for the four year term of the bond, or can elect to have their dividend paid in coffee, in the form of store credit at the equivalent rate of 12% per annum.

A leading Devon accountancy firm has raised almost £10,000 for local and national charities.

Simpkins Edwards LLP, which has offices across the county in Exeter, Barnstaple, Okehampton, Heathfield, Holsworthy and Honiton, specialising in family owned businesses, raised a total of £9,616.11 for charitable causes during 2014.

Members of the Exeter Chiefs rugby team turned out in force last night for a business forum hosted by The Rugby Players’ Association (RPA) at Sapphire Living Space in Topsham.

Premier Communication Electronics (PCE) has moved into new premises in Exeter to accommodate its business growth.
