As large businesses start to implement their auto-enrolment pensions from 1 October, NFU Mutual, a provider of pensions and investments, is urging smaller business owners in the South West to start making plans for their own workplace pension schemes. I knew Jay and Will Allan, brothers and partners in speciality food business Hillside as they grew up in Exeter, and have watched the progress of their company with admiration. He may have felt the heat in the Dragons' Den but 26 year old Matthew Conridge has turned £600 into a major business. Matthew has two companies. Mamka, an online retailer of outdoor gear and Creba a catering business.
