Exeter Festival organisers reveal line-up

An eclectic mix of local bands and musicians have been chosen to play at this summer’s Exeter Festival.

The free afternoon of music takes place in Exeter’s Northernhay Gardens on Saturday 6 July.

Earlier in the year local bands and musicians were invited to pitch for a slot at the Exeter Festival, which runs from 5 to 7 July.

There has been a surge of sales for next weekend’s 11th annual Lapstock Music Festival in Mid-Devon as disappointed Olly Murs fans search around for alternative entertainment on the same date after the singer’s Powderham gig was called off.

Lapstock organiser’s reported one sale of 15 tickets from a hen party who were due to have some fun at Powderham.

Music at the Mill will showcase local young talent

Organisers of the 11th annual Lapstock Music Festival in Mid-Devon have announced the line-up of bands and performers for this year’s Music at the Mill which will feature more 30 acts over two days in July.

Since opening in February, the BierKeller has already become a hit in Exeter.

West Country band The Stylers, who recently triumphed in a competition to spot young musical talent across the counties of Devon, Dorset and Somerset, have received their trophies from key event partner Beviss & Beckingsale.
