A group of students aged 11-13 and their families from Cranbrook Educational Campus have taken part in a ‘ready, steady, cook!’ style series of healthy cooking sessions provided by Axminster charity HALFF (Health and Local Food for Families).

Funded by East Devon District Council via NHS England’s healthy new towns programme, ‘Cranbake’ gave students and families a chance to cook a variety of meals together as part of a four week course.

Home bakers from Bovey Tracey and around Devon will be competing in the Great Bovey Bake Off.

As part of Bovey’s Nourish Festival of food, craft and music, local bakers are invited to enter the competition, which has grown in popularity over the last three years since it started.

Staff at a West Country legal firm took part in a record-breaking cake bake to raise hundreds of pounds for charity.

Disability charity, St Loye’s Foundation, will take their fundraising efforts to the next level with a team building corporate bake off event in April 2016.

Suppliers and customers noticed something different about the AnTech team last Friday as they wore pink to support ‘Wear It Pink’ Day, a national campaign to raise funds for Breast Cancer Now.

As well as wearing a whole spectrum of pink shades, the AnTech team also held a pink raffle with local companies’ kindly donating prizes, children’s toys and a homemade Mary Berry’s White Chocolate Cheesecake to take home – who could resist?

Staff at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital have raised £700 for Comic Relief by holding a Great Inter-Divisional Bake Off on Red Nose Day. Competition was fierce as staff from each division in the Trust – Specialist Services, Medicine and Surgery - put their culinary skills to the test and came up with all manner of baked confections for their divisional cake sales. The Chudfest Garden and Produce show will be held on September 20th, in Chudleigh Town Hall. There will be classes for Flowers, Vegetables, Fruit, Kitchen Produce and Floral Art.
