Dan Dickens, 60 from Exeter, has found a unique way of volunteering for local charity Hospiscare in one of their Exeter shops. Dan, a local artist, has bought his talents into a niche role at the South Street Shop (Exeter), which specialises in vintage and antique books, music, art and collectables.

An Exmouth-based painter who likes to have fun is bringing something new to Devon

in March 2018. Artist Anna FitzGerald is launching ‘WooHoo’, an exhibition focussed on art and performance which she describes as a 'week-long giggle'.

Exeter’s legal community raises £2,780 for city tribute

Members of Exeter‘s legal community gathered in Southernhay yesterday, for a charity cheque presentation, after raising over £2,500 for the creation of a permanent cultural tribute to the buildings that perished in last year’s Cathedral Yard fire.

Devon artist Julie Dunster is challenging you to help her to create a five foot high landscape painting for her upcoming exhibition “A Sense of Devon” which takes place at the Beehive, Honiton from 16th May to 12th June 2017.

Young artist bags first prize in Tesco competition

A junior artist from Exeter is to have her picture seen by thousands of shoppers after winning a competition to help design a hessian bag for customers at the city’s Tesco Extra store. Lily-Rose Leach, nine, from Redhills Community Primary School entered a competition organised by the Exeter Vale Shopping Centre store, asking primary school children to draw a picture of what they loved most about the area. Nigel Mason, a 63-year-old artist from Ilfracombe, Devon, has been gaining international acclaim in the art world with a solo exhibition of his work just finished at MIVA Fine Art gallery in Sweden.

Devon artist to exhibit in prestigious art show

Washington Green, the UK’s leading fine art publishers, has announced the launch of its ‘Summer Exhibition 2016’.

50,000 visit 19240 Shrouds of the Somme Exhibition

Up to 50,000 people are estimated to have visited the poignant 19240 Shrouds of the Somme Project in Exeter that depicts all 19,240 allied soldiers who fell on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.

In this solo exhibition Irish artist Sean Lynch presents three new artworks commissioned by Spacex and inspired by aspects of RAMM’s collection.

The fine city of Exeter has never witnessed such devastating scenes of destruction and chaos. So it will come as great comfort to citizens to learn that it is on an incredibly small scale - 1:87 to be precise - and safely contained within a 40ft shipping container, as part of a surreal model village experience visiting the city.
