Exeter based Richard Chappell Dance brings brand-new work to the Northcott

This autumn, critically acclaimed choreographer Richard Chappell premieres his most ambitious work to date, Infinite Ways Home, opening at Exeter Northcott on 24 & 25 September and Cardiff’s immersive CULTVR on 2 October.

Chappell’s first full-length production for a mid-scale stage, Infinite Ways Home sees six performers explore their perceptions of reality through other-worldly experiences, connecting ideas of Celtic traditions of ritual with modern day experiences of rave culture.

The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) has today announced ten projects that are in the running to receive the RTPI South West Awards for Planning Excellence 2021.

The awards highlight exceptional examples of how planning and planners have a positive impact on our quality of life in creating exceptional places and protecting our environment.

Entries will be assessed by an expert panel of judges including academics, planning officers and planning consultants.

The UK’s largest nature conservation charity, the RSPB, has revealed it’s “top ten spectacular autumn nature reserves” to visit this September, as people across the country look to escape the everyday with a staycation.

With over 200 nature reserves across the country, the charity are celebrating the wonderful autumn season by inviting people to spend time in nature – whether it’s a relaxing stroll through swaying reeds, a crunchy walk through fallen leaves and mystical woodland, or a peaceful sunset over a mosaic of habitats.

THIS September – Childhood Cancer Awareness Month – people in Devon and Cornwall are being called on to clear out their wardrobes to help more children and young people survive cancer.

They are being urged to donate pre-loved quality fashion and homeware to TK Maxx’s Give Up Clothes for Good campaign, in support of Cancer Research UK for Children & Young People.

When sold in Cancer Research UK shops, each bag of items donated could raise up to £25 to help fund research into children’s and young people’s cancers.
