Professor James Mitchell , of Warwick Business School, has used figures from the Office of National Statistics and then updated them to give a “nowcast” of each region in England.
The Professor of Economic Modelling and Forecasting found that the gap between employment in the North East and real Gross Value Added (GVA), relative to their pre-crisis levels, stood at between 15 and 20 per cent. This indicates...

A series of special events for anyone interested in fostering will take place this month, as Devon County Council continues its drive to recruit carers. The Council is hosting a mixture of information events and stalls in a bid to encourage more people to consider becoming foster families and give those interested the chance to find out whether fostering would be suitable for them. Devon has over 700 children in care, and just over 300 fostering households. However many current foster carers are approaching retirement age so the County Council needs to recruit new carers. The children and...

The company specialize in supplying products for every part of the building trade and welcome both trade and retail customers; so the next step for Craig, with his wife right behind him making sure there was no slacking, was to visit his local branch, set up an account...
Any book with the title "Jerusalem" is a challenge for both authors and readers, given the complexities, misrepresentations and confusing images inherent in that city. For the visitor, first impressions of Jerusalem, perhaps to do with the light or the architecture, give way to questions, about the different cultures and their histories, and then on to concerns about how these cultures mix (or rather, don't) particularly the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis. And then beyond these concerns come others less obvious, but which surface from time to time.
