New local company AventHolidays, the brainchild of Woodbury-based Jeremy Jackson, announces the first of its new all-inclusive six day Italian painting breaks in the UNESCO World Heritage City of Ferrara, Italy, an outstanding success. Heat ablation is best treatment for varicose veins, Says NICE

Painful varicose vein treatments such as vein stripping may become a thing of the past, following the news that NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) have announced that doctors should use heat ablation as their first choice of treatment.

Farm Maitenence Could Prevent Badgers Passing On TB to Cattle

The Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency (AHVLA) have worked alongside farmers in a unique experiment in which badgers were monitored by surveillance cameras.

Following the Badger cull debate, the AHVLA have installed surveillance cameras on 75 farms in the South West. Their footage offers an alternative to those who are all for culling of badgers to go ahead.

Witness appeal after man attacked in his car in Polsloe Road

Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault took place in Polsoe Road, Exeter. The victim was sat in his car, when he was approached by a man, who attacked him. The 26-year-old man, who is local to Exeter, received cuts to his neck and wrist. The incident took place outside Henry’s Bar at around 2.40pm on Monday 15 July. Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident or who has any information to please call police on 101 quoting DE/13/6515.
