Rain, high wind and flood warnings for Exeter and the South West

The Met Office has issued weather warnings for the South West as heavy rain and very strong winds are forecast for the region with the risk of possible localised flooding.

WOMEN who work at The Magdalen Chapter in Exeter will going ‘Bear Faced’ for the day in aid of BBC Children in Need.

Staff at the city centre hotel will be ditching their make-up on Friday 8th November to raise money for the national appeal.

Warning to drivers as storm looms

As Devon braces itself for the worst storm in two decades, the AA has issued advice to drivers who may encounter flooding.

Where the risk of flooding comes from rivers or the sea you're likely to get some advanced warning from the Environment Agency but surface water flooding resulting from heavy rain combined with drains that can't cope is much more difficult to predict.
