Stagecoach South West is helping to support the Royal British Legion's 2013 Poppy Appeal which honours and remembers service personnel who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

The local transport operator is providing poppies for all their staff that choose to wear them with a donation made to the Royal British Legion. It has also donated advertising space inside its buses to help promote the appeal.

Michael Watson, Managing Director of Stagecoach South West, commented “I’m proud to say that once again Stagecoach will be supporting the poppy appeal. We have staff at every depot who have come from the armed forces and I know how much this means to them. I, for one, will be wearing my poppy with pride.”

Devon’s contribution is just part of a group wide range of initiatives to show support for service personnel.

These include free travel for serving personnel and veterans on South West trains and megabus.com from 6-8 November if they are attending Poppy Day in London.
