Reebok to provide Exeter with a Fit Hub

This Saturday 25th January, Reebok will provide the people of Exeter with a more accessible route to fitness by launching the city’s first ever Fit Hub at Tony Pryce Sports, Guildhall Shopping Centre. The new Reebok FitHub will serve and support the local fitness community, offering new ranges of Reebok clothing and accessories specially designed for fitness as well as FREE fitness tests, classes, challenges and advice, via fully qualified trainers.

Countdown to the Big Farmland Bird Count

In just over two weeks, hundreds of farmers from across the country will be taking part in the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust’s (GWCT) Big Farmland Bird Count.

Fire Service called to Marshland Rescue

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called to a dramatic incident today ( Saturday 18th January) after a woman got trapped in a marsh whilst walking her dogs.

The incident took place at 11.14 am.

Fire Control received a 999 call from a local woman who whilst out walking her three dogs at Abbeyford Woods just north of Okehampton accidently wandered into marshland resulting in her becoming stuck in the marsh and slowly sinking.

Saturday’s game against Morecambe has had to be called off following a pitch inspection by referee Andy D’Urso.

The pitch was clear of water until a heavy downpour which began at 1pm, which has left the surface saturated and waterlogged.

The partnership between Princesshay and Exeter-based charity WESC Foundation has raised in excess of £30,000 in just 12 months.

WESC Foundation, located on Topsham Road, provides specialist care, education and therapy to children and young people with visual impairment and complex needs. More bad weather is on its way over the weekend with forecasters expecting heavy rainfall throughout today (Saturday).
