Exeter City Council has said today that it would be looking at its policy regarding dogs on leads in parks following a recent attack in Belmont Park last weekend.
The recent attack left dog owner Helen Dale in RD&E hospital after another dog attacked her Jack Russell, Poppy.
The dog’s owners, a man and a woman in their 20s, have not yet been traced.
The attack comes after a Pit bull type dog attacked and killed a Yorkshire terrier in August.

Robert Manners studied at Chelsea School of Art and the University of West of England. This exhibition is the culmination of several years work exploring the traditions of British seascape painting and finding new ways of interpretation. It will include paintings, collage and prints inspired by the physical components of the sea and seascape.
