Baxter's delight at Low capture

Scottish international Moray Low is heading to the Aviva Premiership next season after he today finalised his much-anticipated move to Exeter Chiefs.

The 29-year-old tight-head, who has penned a two-year deal at Sandy Park, will help fill the void left at the Chiefs by the departures of Hoani Tui and Craig Mitchell at the end of the season.

Maori ace Tui is heading across the English Channel to sign for Lyon, whilst Welsh international Mitchell is heading home to the Principality to take up a new contract with the Cardiff Blues.

Man charged with GBH following Exeter Cathedral attack

A 34 year old man has been charged with GBH and criminal damage after attacking an elderly woman at Exeter Cathedral green on Saturday (15th February).

Police recieved reports that an eldery woman had been punched in the eye and was lying on the floor at 1.20pm on Saturday afternoon. The incident of assault was believed to have occured when the elderly woman questioned the man after he was seen climbing the outside of the Cathedral.

The man was arrested just minutes later and has been charged with GBH and criminal damage after being remanded in custody.

New community vehicle for Exe Valley Market Bus

The Exe Valley Market Bus committee will celebrate taking delivery of its brand new community bus at a formal launch event at Calverleigh Village Hall on Wednesday 19 February.

The Market Bus, which is a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers, has purchased its new vehicle with the help of a £35,000 grant from Devon County Council, using its Department for Transport Sustaining Community Transport Fund.

Scottish international Moray Low says he is “excited” about the challenge that awaits him at Exeter Chiefs next season.

The experienced 29-year-old prop will join on a two-year deal from Glasgow Warriors and is the latest name Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter has added to his ranks for the 2014/15 season.

Exeter City Football Club say no to homophobia

Exeter City Football Club yesterday took a stand against homophobia in football at its home game with Rochdale (Saturday 22 February).

The match was designated as the Club’s annual ‘Football v Homophobia’ fixture – a move welcomed by the Exeter City Supporters’ Trust and its One Game One Community (OGOC) Group.
