Iconic album covers that have been given a new spin by internationally acclaimed graffiti artist Temper are on display at Castle Galleries, Exeter this weekend.

From Saturday 17 May, cover:versions, the latest collection by artist Temper, who has been commissioned by the likes of Roman Abramovich, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Saatchi and Saatchi and created graffiti art for Coca-Cola, will be available as limited edition prints from Castle Galleries, Exeter.

Learning to help those with poor mental health

A mental health ‘first aid’ course that helps people to identify, understand and support someone with poor mental or emotional health is now available in Exeter.

The course aims to make mental health support as important as first aid in the workplace and beyond, giving individuals the confidence to help someone who is experiencing problems.

The announcement coincides with Mental Health Awareness Week which this year is focusing on anxiety, one of the leading causes of mental ill-health in the world.

National Smile Month is coming to Exeter, as The Exeter Dental Centre signs up to support the UK’s biggest oral health campaign.

Kicking off on Monday, May 19th, National Smile Month aims to promote and raise awareness of good oral health, and The Exeter Dental Centre is getting involved to do just that.

Appointments bring Michelmores partnership to 61

Michelmores LLP has appointed two new Partners and four new Associates at its Exeter and Bristol offices bringing the number of Partners to 61 and the number of Associates to 21. A new Financial Controller has also been appointed.

The best way to rid a garden of snails

Gardeners wanting to rid their spring flowerbeds of pesky snails can ditch the beer traps and egg shells and instead develop a strong throwing arm. This is according to a new study published today, 16 May, in the journal Physica Scripta, which has used statistical models to show that removing snails out of the garden by a distance of over 20 metres or more is just as effective as simply killing the snails. Some curious creatures have given birth at Paignton Zoo.

Despite their name, common tenrecs - from Madagascar – are rarely seen in zoos. This litter of four is the Zoo’s second - mother Felicia came from the first litter, born at the Zoo just last year. The four were born on 3rd April but can now be spotted coming out for mealworms with the adults.

Peter Cox joins growing Devon law firm

Positive outlook for extended trading hours

Approximately 40 retailers and restaurants are now taking part in the extended trading hours campaign launched by Princesshay, The Guildhall Shopping Centre, Stagecoach South West and Exeter Chamber of Commerce.

England flanker Matt Kvesic and Exeter Chiefs rising star Henry Slade helped host a series of O2 Touch sessions for local students at the Univeristy of Exeter yesterday (15 May).
