More local people are getting a foot on the property ladder in Cranbrook through the ‘Help to Buy’ scheme than almost anywhere in the country, according to Government figures.

East Devon’s new community of Cranbrook is one of the country’s top 'Help to Buy' hotspots with 101 loans in the EX5 7 postcode which covers the Cranbrook area, second only to a postcode in Humberside, which has 143.

New Which? research has revealed what can happen to your car when you hand your keys to airport meet-and-greet companies and whether they’re really worth the money.

They fitted GPS trackers to cars left with three private meet-and-greet providers at Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted airports. Our trackers followed where they went and how fast they were driven for six days.

The Pearson Teaching Awards hosted a prestigious event at the House of Commons last week to honour all those who have won a Silver Teaching Award in 2014.

Andy Waite of Exeter College attended the event which was held to celebrate exceptional teachers from across the UK. He won his trophy in the category FE Teacher/Lecturer of the Year, after being shortlisted from a record number of over 20,000 nominations made by grateful pupils, past and present, parents and colleagues.
