Chagstock Festival is going ahead as planned

Organisers of this weekend’s Chagstock Festival have confirmed that the event will go ahead as planned.

Festival organisers have been made aware of rumours circulating online that this year's festival has been cancelled due to adverse weather, which, they say, is completely false.

Si Ford, festival organiser said: “We have absolutely no idea where these rumours originated, but we can categorically state that Chagstock Festival is NOT cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

“We are set up, ready to go and looking forward to welcoming thousands of people for what is forecast to be a generally sunny festival this weekend.”

Chagstock festival opens at 2pm tomorrow afternoon. Day and weekend tickets will be available on the gate.

This year’s headliners are the Lightning Seeds on Friday and The Waterboys on Saturday.
