An Exeter man has caused an internet sensation by strutting down the city’s High Street wearing hotpants and heels – all in aid of Hospiscare!

More than 137,000 people have watched videos of bearded Mark Williamson, wearing a tie, shirt and jacket, with bright blue shiny hot-pants and heels, strutting his stuff to bemused shoppers.

Mark,47, was dared to carry out the crazy stunt, copying the Money Supermarket’s ad, Dave’s Epic Strut, and after practising in his lounge and the garden he stunned and amused Saturday shoppers who of course got their phones out and filmed him....

Exeter bee project launches Queen Bee rearing programme

Princesshay’s City Bee project has launched a brand new Queen Bee rearing programme as part of the centre’s continued development of its rooftop environmental scheme.

The project, now in its third year, houses 4 hives with approximately 60,000 bees working them daily.

The Queen Bee rearing programme is a new innovative idea for the Princesshay City Bee Project and will be led by head beekeeper Jason Wallis of WeeTree Nurseries. Baxter hails Salvi arrival

For the second time this season, Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter has raided Aviva Premiership rivals Leicester Tigers for one of their prized assets.

Killerton gears up for classic car takeover

On Sunday 17 May, from 10am to 5pm, over 350 vintage vehicles will park up in style to celebrate ‘classic car day’ in the historic parkland at Killerton, near Exeter.

‘Classic car enthusiasts travel far and wide to show off their prized vehicles at the renowned annual event in the hope of winning the coveted Killerton House Cup for the ‘best car in show’.

Devon County Council has announced its new Chairman for the coming year.

Outgoing Chairman, Councillor George Gribble, handed over to the Council's new Chairman, Councillor Christine Channon, at a meeting of the Full Council this afternoon (Thursday 14 May).

Councillor Channon has represented Budleigh Salterton as local member for 22 years, and has served on many of the County Council's Committees.

Christine was Leader of the Conservative Group on the County Council for nine years, and Leader of the Council between 2002-03 and 2004-05 under a 'Rainbow'...
