Over 3,000 local people were among the first to walk along a section of the South Devon Link Road project on Saturday (25 July).
Approximately 3,500 people visited the site and were allowed to walk a 3km stretch of the new road at a unique Community Open Day event.

Police are investigating after £20,000 cash was stolen during a burglary at a home in Winkleigh, Devon.
Offenders forced their way into the property in Exeter Road through the garage overnight on Tuesday 14 July.
They located the safe and removed £20,000 cash, £11,000 of which was in £50 notes.
