The children, all aged between 2 and 4 years, took part in a sponsored obstacle course organised by Pre-school staff; they carried 1 or 2 litre bottles of water around the obstacle course so they could start to gain an understanding of what some families in Africa have to do in order to get drinking water to their home.

Parkinson’s UK would like to thank Thrifty Car and Van rental for a fantastic year of fundraising, which has raised nearly £27,000 for the charity.
The partnership with Thrifty, whose head office is in Exeter, Devon, began in 2015 after the firm’s 1,500 employees voted for Parkinson’s UK as their national charity of the year. An official opening date for the £5million new Pavilions Teignmouth has been announced for Monday 4 April.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 3pm and will be carried out by Teignbridge District Council’s Leader Cllr Jeremy Christophers and Margaret Davidson, Chair of the Pavilions Board of Trustees. Phear Park’s new improved play area, featuring £48,000 of exciting leisure equipment, was officially declared open on Monday 21 March 2016 by East Devon District Council’s Chairman Councillor Stuart Hughes and Exmouth Town Mayor Councillor Maddy Chapman, who is also ward member for Exmouth Brixington.
The play area project was a joint partnership between East Devon District Council and Exmouth Town Council who have worked closely together to spend Section 106 funding, contributed by developers for every new home created in the town.
