Staff from some of Exeter’s top employers honed their skills at a development evening arranged by a city networking group.
The event, which was organised by the Exeter PA Network, saw more than 50 members attend presentations and training sessions at County Hall.
The network, which is made up of admin professionals from across Exeter and the surrounding areas has around 400 members. Police investigating a knifepoint robbery in Okehampton have released images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.
At around 9.15pm on Saturday 9th July a man entered the Costcutter store on Exeter Road and is reported to have threatened two members of staff with a large carving knife.
The man forced open the till drawer and stole cash before leaving the shop, heading in the direction of The Giblands Estate.

Members of Exeter City Council’s Leisure Complex and Bus Station Programme Board have voted unanimously in favour of proceeding with interim bus station arrangements in the city centre.
The decision comes after two additional information events took place in Southernhay and Sidwell Street to display plans and take on board feedback on the temporary measures.

Dog walkers can now put their dog waste in a number of litter bins around the city.
Previously, bagged up dog poo had to be placed in the red dog bins located around Exeter. But in a move to make things easier for dog owners and dog walkers, standard litter bins can now be used to dispose of the waste.
It will go to Exeter’s energy-from-waste facility which can treat up to 60,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste every year. The poo, along with anything else that can’t be salvaged, still creates valuable energy which gets fed back into the National Grid.
